For this project, I was to develop a concept for a product and determine a clear aesthetic for it in it’s design. At it’s core, this was a photography project in which I photographed different elements onto the wrap of a product model. This product mockup was then used to be placed onto a custom designed sell sheet in a brochure.
To begin this project, I knew I wanted to create two products under the same brand, which ended up being sunglasses and a moisturizer. I took multiple photos of various objects in the studio, such as fruits and the pair of sunglasses that would then be incorporated into two different product mockups.
With the images captured in the studio, it was time to take them into Photoshop and build products out of them. This involved creating a cohesive branding between the two products such as a company logo, which I named Glimpse. The two products I created where a box for a pair of sunglasses, and a tube of moisturizer. To enhance the visual branding of the products, I also added several background graphics to add some flavour.
The next steps were to take these mockups and place them into a designed spreads within a brochure. The vibe that I had been going on was to take inspiration from the Y2K futurism aesthetic so I created spreads that felt edgy and interesting to the eye in its layout.
